Hi, I'm Jess,  the photographer and storyteller behind Nocturnia, based in Zurich and available throughout Switzerland and beyond.

To me, photography is about so much more than beautiful images. It's about preserving the feeling of a moment before life quietly moves on.

People fall in love. Families grow. Tiny hands don't stay tiny forever. A newborn fills a home with light, birthdays become traditions, and ordinary days turn into the memories we treasure most.

Right now, I'm building my own family, and it's changed the way I see photography forever. Experiencing pregnancy myself has shown me just how precious these seasons are and how deeply they deserve to be remembered.

That's why I don't focus on perfect poses.

I want to capture the real moments: A quiet glance, an unexpected laugh, a warm embrace, little hands reaching for mum and dad, or two people so lost in each other that they forget the camera is even there.

You don't need to worry about posing. I'll gently guide you throughout the session,  offer advice on outfits, and create a relaxed experience where you can simply be yourselves.

My hope is simple.

When you look at your photographs years from now, I don't want you to only remember what you looked like.

I want you to remember what it felt like.

Because every season passes.

But some stories deserve to last forever.
